Christopher Graham is curator at the American Civil War Museum in Richmond, Virginia. In his position, he wrestles with major questions confronting historians and museums today, including:

  • how can the best academic research be integrated into an exhibit that is accessible to a broad public audience?
  • how and to what degree should academic researchers share interpretive authority with community members?
  • can museums attract new audiences for Civil War history with challenging new narratives and unexpected perspectives?

Sponsored by the WFU Cultural Heritage & Preservation Studies interdisciplinary minor and the History Department.
