Bio
Lauren Johnson was born and raised in Boone, North Carolina. She earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sacred Music and Vocal Performance from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2016, as well as an AAS from Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute in 2022 to become a registered Speech Language Pathology Assistant. Before joining our team, Lauren served as Associate Music Director for Grace Lutheran Church and as a bank teller at Wells Fargo in Boone. Most recently, she took on the role of Speech Language Pathology Assistant for Randolph County Schools, working with K-5 students towards their speech goals. Lauren joined the Department of History in August 2024, and she is excited to help support the department’s growth and success. In her free time, Lauren enjoys singing with Bel Canto Company, reading fantasy and science fiction novels, and spending time with her friends and family.
