Dr. James Wood Sweet, The Sewing Girl's Tale

Join us for a discussion of the award-winning book The Sewing Girl’s Tale: A Story of Crime and Consequences in Revolutionary America, by Dr. John Wood Sweet. Dr. Sweet is a Professor of History at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is an historian of Early America and the former director of UNC’s interdisciplinary Program in Sexuality Studies. He specializes in the social and cultural histories of race, gender, and sexuality during the periods before and after the American Revolution. His talk will take place in the ZSR Auditorium (Room 404) from 5- 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
